Early access · iPhone & Android
Let’s get you
trying WithFolk.
The first test builds are available to invited testers through Apple TestFlight and Google Play. Thank you for helping us make the everyday details work well.
iOS 0.1.0 (12)
Install on your iPhone
Build 12 adds Apple Health imports and consented mood alert controls. Circle location sharing is also included.
- Install Apple’s TestFlight app on your iPhone.
- Open the WithFolk invitation email sent to your invited Apple account, then tap View in TestFlight.
- Accept the invitation in TestFlight and tap Install (or Update) for WithFolk. Open the app when installation finishes.
Access is by email invitation. The TestFlight download link does not add you to the WithFolk test group.
Android 0.1.0 (9)
Install on your Android phone
Build 9 adds mood alert controls and Health Connect imports. Use the button below with the Google account you gave us for testing; no invitation email is needed.
- Sign in to Google Play and your browser with the Google account you gave us for testing.
- Open the test invitation below and choose Accept invite.
- Follow Google Play’s steps to install or update the app, then open WithFolk.
Google may show the temporary name
com.caffeinatedinnovations.mentalhealthsupport (unreviewed). The installed app is WithFolk.
What to try first
Both platforms include the walkthrough, interactive mood charts and accounts. iOS build 12 and Android build 9 include simpler layouts, clearer purchase status, one Trends chart and expanded brand/generic medication search. Both include optional authenticator setup and Circle invitations. See beta progress.
- Add a check-in, close the app and reopen it. Look for your saved entry.
- Add a medication log and explore local reminder setup.
- Edit your personal support plan and review your check-in history.
- Try dark mode and larger text. Tell us about any clipped labels or confusing screens.
Use made-up entries for early tests. This build is for feedback on the experience; WithFolk does not monitor you or provide emergency response.
Try a Circle invitation together
Both people need the current tester update and their own WithFolk account.
- Open Circle and choose Invite someone. Enter the exact email the other person uses for their WithFolk account, your names and the offered categories. Confirm your identity when asked.
- Choose Copy private invitation and send it to that person yourself. WithFolk does not send an invitation email. Links expire after 24 hours.
- The recipient opens the link and chooses Copy private invitation. In WithFolk, they sign in with the invited email and open Circle → I have an invitation, paste the link and review it.
- The recipient chooses whether to accept or decline. Check the current status on both phones. Joining does not start health or location sharing.
- Try Remove from Circle as the inviter or Leave Circle as the recipient. Refresh the other phone and check that the connection is gone.
Keep the original invitation message private. The web page only hands the invitation to the app; it does not display health or location information. A forwarded link does not authorize a different account.
Try location sharing together
This test needs iOS build 11 or Android build 8 on both phones. Check the installation cards above for current availability. Both people need their own signed-in account; the person sharing also needs verified Premium access. Your accepted Circle invitation must include ongoing location.
- On the sharing phone, open Circle → Location sharing. Choose approximate or precise, then 1, 8 or 24 hours, or Until I revoke it. Confirm the offer.
- On the other phone, open Circle → View location and accept the offered scope.
- Return to the sharing phone and tap Start updates. Allow the phone’s location request. The recipient can choose Load Google map and check the last-update time.
- Try Pause, then resume and start updates again. Try Stop sharing. Confirm the location disappears on the other phone. Also try withdrawing as the recipient.
- Test a locked phone, restarting the app and stopping while offline. An offline stop stays pending until the server confirms it; return online and retry. The last reading can remain visible within its permission and 15-minute limit until confirmation.
Until revoked keeps the permission open; phone settings can still interrupt updates. After a stopped app restarts, tap Start updates again. Readings are marked old after two minutes and unavailable after fifteen minutes. These phone behaviors still need tester verification. Viewing without the app is not available yet.
Try the simpler medication form
Start typing a medicine name for offline suggestions, or enter your own. Choose or type the dose that matches your prescription label. The starter suggestions are not a complete medicine list or a dose recommendation.
Choose Morning, Afternoon, Evening or Night. Each preset shows its actual time; use Choose exact time or Change time to adjust it. Add optional food instructions, save, and reopen to check the details. Reminders remain a separate choice after saving.
Try a store test purchase
Android build 8 and iOS build 11 include this flow. Update your app before starting.
- Open Settings → Account and sign into your own WithFolk account. Verify your email, then return to WithFolk and tap I’ve verified my email. Choose Skip for now or set up an optional authenticator. Accounts with an authenticator already enabled still require a code.
- Choose View the annual plan, review the beta terms and loaded store price, then choose Subscribe to open the store's test purchase sheet.
- On Android, use your invited Google license-test account and a test payment method. Confirm the sheet identifies a test purchase. TestFlight uses Apple's free sandbox purchases. If the expected test flow is missing, cancel and contact support.
- Check the status at the top of Premium. If a purchase is waiting, choose Check purchase status instead of purchasing again. Otherwise try Refresh access; use Restore purchase to check a purchase made by the same store account. A pending or failed check is not verified access.
Purchases remain linked to the original WithFolk account. Sign into that same WithFolk account on your other platform to refresh access; you do not need to buy twice. Test subscriptions can renew and expire faster than normal. Do not send support receipts, passwords or authenticator codes; report the version and the message you see.
New in iOS 12 and Android 9
Connect your health readings
- Open Settings → Health connections. Connect sleep, resting heart rate or HRV and allow read access in Apple Health or Health Connect.
- Open Trends → Health & mood. Pick a metric and source, then tap a day. Check its value against your health app.
- Try Sync now, then disconnect a metric. The saved WithFolk copy should disappear; your original health records remain.
Imports cover the last 30 days and stay on this phone. Refresh happens while the app is open. Missing readings stay empty; comparisons need enough paired mood and health days.
Two updated accounts
Try Circle mood alerts
- Both people need iOS 12 or Android 9. The sender needs verified Premium. Your Circle connection must include accepted Support requests and Mood snapshots.
- Open Circle → Mood alerts. Choose colors and send the choices. The recipient opens Mood alerts and accepts them.
- Save a new matching mood. On the recipient phone, open or refresh Mood alerts, review the color and time, and acknowledge it.
- Try Pause and recipient withdrawal. Check that sharing stops.
On the recipient phone, choose Enable phone notifications in Mood alerts and allow the system prompt. Background the recipient app and save a matching mood on the sender phone to test a generic banner. Quiet hours and cooldown can suppress an alert. Provider acceptance does not prove delivery or acknowledgement. These alerts do not contact emergency services.
Still in progress
This is the first part of the app.
Apple Health imports and the signed-in mood alert view are ready to test in iOS build 12. Android build 9 is available with Health Connect imports. Google’s health declaration is saved but not reviewed; Health Connect access and Fitbit readings still need phone verification. iPhone push setup is complete; real delivery still needs testing. Private recipient web views and health-driven alerts remain unfinished. Location sharing needs the newer builds listed in its test above and separate consent from both people. A test purchase does not enable unfinished features.
In the current iOS or Android build, open Settings → Account to create an account. Verify your email, then choose optional authenticator setup or Skip for now. If you already verified an account, choose Sign in with that same email; do not create another account. Account creation does not synchronize local check-ins or medication logs.
Can’t install, or found a problem?
Check that you are using the Apple or Google account that received access. If the invitation still does not work, or you find a bug, include your phone model, iOS or Android version and the steps you tried. On iPhone, you can also send feedback through TestFlight.
